Publication Day?

You’d think it would be exciting: I finished all the editing and formatting and have submitted my third novel to Amazon for vetting and publishing. Instead, I feel … tired. My class this session is heavy lifting about ethics and law and requires a 5-7 page paper on a weekly basis, on top of class Publication Day?

Snowstorms and Pauses

For some reason, this week all my plans went on pause. We keep having these annoyingly substantial snow storms that require both of our efforts to dig out from and sap our energy for anything new on the creative front. Another one is on its way tomorrow. I would have hoped that my mid-semester break Snowstorms and Pauses

Read an eBook Week

Given how long it’s taken me (remember, I’m used to fast drafting, as a habit established during two, consecutive successes at NaNoWriMo) I’m almost surprised to finally be able to say it: Blood to Fire is now with my editor. It’s already been through two critique passes, and the tender mercies of EditMinion, (please, no dun, Dun, DONE

Almost Done

I’ve been pushing all weekend, but I have to concede… I once again missed the mark on what I could achieve this week. However, I have completed the first editorial pass on what I’ve written, as well as incorporated another critique of the first few chapters of Blood to Fire. All that remains is writing Almost Done

Author Interview: Sarah Cass

I’m elated to introduce you to another one of my crit group members, who, today, celebrates the publication of her first novel, Changing Tracks. In honor of her achievement (and to start the romance of the weekend of my 15th wedding anniversary!), and to kick off her publicity tour in style, I’ve invited her for Author Interview: Sarah Cass
