Holidays and Working

I’m writing, tonight, from my mother’s house, a several-hour flight from home. The house remains in a state of upheaval, as we work to get her settled in a functional, cozy space that meets her needs. Unfortunately, that means we’ve had contractors hovering, adding insulation, tile, lights, electrical outlets, and all manner of other small Holidays and Working

Release Day: Hallow’s Eve Triptych

In the immortal words of Carol Anne Freeling in “Poltergeist”… “They’re heeeeere!” Amazon and Smashwords have pushed the files live and the collection of short stories that makes up Hallow’s Eve Triptych are now available for purchase. <pauses a moment to SQUEEEEEEE!> As I said during my Sunday ROW80 check-in, these stories pushed me closer Release Day: Hallow’s Eve Triptych

Opportunity and Challenges

It’s midterm week again. I comfort myself with the knowledge that I just have one more year of classes to finish this MBA, but for now, the difficulty remains in finding enough hours in the day to do all the things I need to and want to do. For this week, that meant zombie-fication: I Opportunity and Challenges

Cover Reveal: Hallow’s Eve Triptych

Last night I got the gift of my latest cover, so today… I’m sharing the love with everyone else! 🙂 I’m in the final rounds of editing and tweaking this set of three short stories, and have tentatively decided release day is 11/27. Mark your calendars! 😀 Together, the collection is me pushing my own Cover Reveal: Hallow’s Eve Triptych

I’ve been bouncing by proxy for Gayla, as one of the books I edited for her (Arcane Solutions, which I reviewed here Ranking

Traveling Plague

That ear plague I mentioned last week…? It blossomed into a full week of zombie-fication completely at odds with any previous illness experience I’ve ever had. My fever was just below 100F all week (didn’t break until yesterday), the pain was alternately excruciating and mind-numbing, and the infection involved the nerves in my jaw in Traveling Plague

Trust the Madness

It’s been a lovely week: No school work due, just normal madness at the office, and lots of writing time. So that stretch goal I set last week…? Not so stretchy after all: I wrote 6,708 words. Finished one short story and got about halfway through the last one for my spooky collection. I’m still Trust the Madness

The Gentle Bump of the Return Home

I’m home again. I’m happy, really, to have my bed back, and my husband, and my girleez… but it’s always sad to leave behind people you really care about after a heckuva lot of fun and untold interesting conversations. While I was helping my mom re-settle into her house later this week, I added meeting The Gentle Bump of the Return Home
