#AtoZChallenge – F is for Fyodor

FyodorI’m back to introducing a character for my sixth day of the A to Z blogging challenge. This cutie, from the Dreamstime stock photography collection is a pretty close depiction of who I had in mind when I was describing Fyodor in Dust to Blood. Or at least, the very young version of Fyodor.

In this first book in the series, Fyodor and Vasily take quite the back seat to their leader, Ivan, so my initial description is just enough to let you know nobody’s sure of how they’re related, though they have a strong sense of connection to one another:

The men share peculiar physical characteristics that would naturally lead to the conclusion that they are related: They all have thick, black hair, with pronounced double widow’s peaks at their temples—regardless that they all appear to be too young to have receding hairlines. While Ivan Sr. is the only one with piercingly blue eyes, there is something about the canted set of all of their eyes that makes you think of outlandish tales of fairies and other mystical beings. Add to that the bag-of-bones appearance, and gangling average height of 6’2”, and you don’t doubt the possibility of “blood” relations despite their demonstrated lack of that commodity.

So today’s post is by way of sharing a little bit of young eye-candy with everyone. Enjoy!

  1. He is a cutie, isn’t he? The “bag of bones appearance”–love that description! It’s taken me a while to catch up but I’ll be back to read more about your novel.

    1. Wait until we get to his relatives… Ivan is only a few days away, and he’s everything dark & handsome should be. 😉

  2. Your novel sounds very interesting! I haven’t been to Russia but I’m very intrigued by the place and I love to read about it. I’ll be looking for it and your series for the A to Z. Good luck!

I’m participating in the A to Z too and coming from the Karma liking chain.

    1. The whole A to Z concept is working pretty well for me so far this year… I’m just a little concerned about a little later in the alphabet–I still need to figure out what to do for 5 of the letters. I may need to do a search in my manuscript to find those letters and see how I can stretch them to fit my needs here. 😀

Thanks for stopping by. I’ll check out yours a little later today, too.
