I’ve always considered reading a solitary pursuit, and have been happy to hole up in a convenient corner to while away the hours. But in the past year or so, I’ve found a wonderful group of fellow bibliophiles on … Twitter! So when @bookaliciouspam tweeted (or blogged… or something) recently about reading challenges she’s participating in, she piqued my curiosity. Lo and behold, there are lots of people out there, running lots of challenges. One of them, @bookchickcity has hers all organized and seems to be posting regular follow-ups, which makes everything more exciting.

Given how the NaNoWriMo challenge whipped me into writing shape, I think I need the writing challenge more than the reading challenge… But since I’m likely to read this many books in a few months anyway, I thought I’d sign on. Will you join me?
